Family Movie Night

Dear Team and Family –

This Thursday 9-21-17, we will be hosting our family movie night in our gymnasium from 5:007:00. We will be showing Boss Baby. We hope to see you all there. We will be providing drinks and popcorn for the kids. Scholars must be accompanied by an adult and may NOT stay after school unless they are in after school activities.

We have a great week ahead with new skills and academic concepts to be grasped! I would like to take a moment to remind families that attendance every day matters. Please ensure your scholar is getting the most out of school and not missing out on any lessons by bringing them to school on time each day. It's also important that scholars are present by 7:45 so they can enjoy a homeroom morning meeting and teambuilding time with their peers. This past week we celebrated Freedom Week where our scholars had the chance to learn about the Constitution, what freedom means and what life would be like without certain freedoms. Our 4th and 5th graders were able to end their week with some special speakers, the Honorable Justice Jason Pulliam and Ms. Doebbler, a Gold Star mother. We are thankful for the opportunity to celebrate and learn about freedom and continue to believe that a strong education is essential in pursuing a career of choice! Early Release Day This Friday we will be having early release. Dismissal will start at 12:00 P.M. and Be a Champion will be on campus until 3:45. If you have any questions about after school care, please reach out to Be a Champion throughout the week. Also, there will not be 21st Century activities/programs scheduled for this day. Items that are not Permitted in School Fast food bags are not a healthy choice for breakfast or lunch. Please avoid sending your scholar to school with these items. Scholars may also not bring candy, gum or large bags of chips to school. We are working toward a healthy kids’ initiative this year! All Pokémon cards and toys should stay at home and any incentives earned at school must remain away during instructional time. Any birthday celebrations must be pre-approved with your scholar’s homeroom teacher, and we ask that you provide a healthy treat for students in place of cupcakes.

Wolf Binders Please be sure to check your scholar’s wolf binder on a DAILY basis. There may be important notes from teachers, you can see how many wolf bucks your scholar earned that day, and there may be something that you need to return to school. The Wolf Binder is key to daily success for your scholar. Please help us reinforce responsibility, organization and safekeeping! Sibling Letters On Friday your scholar received a sibling letter for the 18-19 school year. We are hoping to have 100% of letters turned in by Wednesday September 20th. This letter is to ensure your scholar or future scholars are registered for next school year. If your scholar doesn’t have any other siblings that will be registering for next school year, please still fill out the form and return it. The first homeroom with 100% returned letters will receive an incentive.

Grade Level Class DOJO Winners – Leaders of the Pack! Please help us congratulate our mighty 4th grade scholars for winning our DOJO Challenge last week. This means that Monday 4th grade scholars may wear crazy shoes (as long as they’re safe) and their Leaders of the Pack bracelet. Keep up the great work, 4th grade! Star Student & Core Value Winners Please help us congratulate our 6 Star Students and our 6 core value winners. This week’s core value was Team & Family. These scholars exemplified this core value each day this week by helping their fellow wolves in the classroom and in the hallways. Please continue to encourage your scholars to give their absolute best every day!

AR Testing Scholars can AR test, in their quest to become Word Masters and Royal Readers, any morning during homeroom. Scholars must first check in with their homeroom teacher. Only scholars are permitted in the AR Zone during this am time. We currently have 4 word masters. Let’s
