FROM THE TENSION 1. If you were to describe “church” to someone who had no clue what it is, what would you say? 2. What are some ways that people check out mentally, even when they’re physically present at church?

FROM THE TRUTH 3. If a church was known for its generosity instead of its programs, what do you think it would do differently? 4. When you hear about the early church, what seems different about it than the way you look at church right now?

NEXT STEP Leaders, encourage your students to be a part of the solution when it comes to church, not part of the problem. Pray that God will help you see it as a family—a movement of people—not 4 walls and a bunch of programs.
