INVITATION TO BID JESSE WHITE Secretary of State, State of Illinois, will receive sealed bids in the Purchasing Division of his office 501 S. Second Street, Room 116 Howlett Building, Springfield, Illinois 62756, until 2:00 P.M., June 4, 2014, at which time bids will be publicly opened on the following: PROJECT NO. 14.06 UPS System Replacement Illinois State Power Plant Springfield, IL A mandatory pre-bid conference/site inspection is scheduled for 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday , May 21, 2014, Illinois State Power Plant, 315 North Klein St., Springfield, IL 62756. Bidders are advised that approximately 45 days are likely to elapse between the contractor’s or vendor’s submission of a properly prepared invoice-voucher (bill) and the state’s payment of such bill. Bidders must have an ILLINOIS DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN RIGHTS PUBLIC CONTRACT number before a proposal will be opened or accepted. Bidders must have a current CERTIFICATE OF PREQUALIFICATION from the Capital Development Board. The contract resulting from this Invitation for Bids is subject to all provisions of the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act. Bidding documents may be procured from Johnson Engineering, P.C., 1 North Old State Capitol Plaza, Springfield, IL 62701, (217)528-6550. Bids submitted must meet the requirements of the specifications. The Secretary of State reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
