PRINCIPALS MESSAGE

Our first IA testing will be Oct 3, 2016 with writing. Please make sure students are doing their homework, reading books, and working on RM City (computer program) on a daily basis. Teachers will use the results of the tests to create tutoring schedules for students and re-teaching skills that students have not mastered. Please do not take your child out early on Fridays. We have biweekly assessments every Friday and when you take your child out, they miss taking the test. Teachers use these district tests to determine what students have mastered and not mastered and base their instruction on the results of these tests. If your child misses the test, we do not have accurate information for them. This week our culture lessons are focusing on: Whatever It Takes, IDEA #55: Be the best person you can be, IDEA # 49: Stand up for what you believe in, and Accepting correction. Please discuss these with your child. Please be sure to have your child in the correct uniform. Everyone should be wearing the blue polo, khaki flat front pants or shorts, white socks, black belt, and all black shoes.
