Please view all the accepted entries in the attached document will the day 1 (Sunday 1 November) tee off times to the left of the entry list. If there are any errors with the entry list, please email [email protected] as soon as possible. Errors cannot be corrected on the day.

HANDICAP CERTIFICATES:

Institutions are reminded that it is a requirement of all competitors to submit a handicap certificate before taking part in the BUCS Individual Strokeplay competitions. This can be done via post, fax or scanned and emailed to [email protected]. Once the BUCS office has received a copy, another one will not be required for the remainder of the 2009/10 season. The majority of entries have currently not submitted a handicap certificate, listed to the right of the entry list. Please note that you will not be allowed to compete on the day if a valid handicap certificate is not received by the BUCS office in advance.

Anyone wishing to have a practice round on the Shore and/or Dunes courses on Saturday 31 October should contact the club pro-shop direct on 01304 613 797. A winner’s plaque will be awarded to the Men’s and Women’s winners. Qualifying points will be awarded according to overall finishing positions and these will go towards qualifying for the BUCS Individual Strokeplay Finals. Points are awarded to the top 64 places. No BUCS overall points are awarded for this event.

Individuals must compete in at least two regional qualifying events to qualify through to these finals. The Individual Strokeplay Finals 2010 will also award World Amateur Ranking points, as allocated by the R&A. Should you have any queries then please do not hesitate to contact me.

REGIONAL QUALIFIER RULES

The Championship shall be governed in accordance with BUCS Regulations and the Rules of Golf as approved by R&A Rules Ltd and with local rules as approved by the Championship Committee. Competitors compete in 2 x 18-hole strokeplay rounds. A maximum handicap of 5 for men and 12 for women will be permitted at the time of entry. Proof of handicap MUST be sent to the BUCS office for entries to be accepted. A maximum of 100 golfers per Regional Qualifier event (including a maximum of 20 women) If more than 100 entries are received places will be allocated according to exact handicap. This is a Scratch (gross score) event. The lowest aggregate scores over 2 out of the 4 Regional Qualifier events will determine the players who qualify for the BUCS Individual Strokeplay Final. Players must compete in a minimum of 2 out of the 4 Regional Qualifiers to be eligible to qualify for the BUCS Individual Strokeplay Final Points will be awarded at each Regional Qualifying event for the following placings:

LOCAL INFORMATION Princes Golf Club Rules •

Mobile telephones are not permitted either on the Golf Course or anywhere within the Clubhouse or Professional Shop.



Smoking is prohibited in all areas of the clubhouse.



No denim clothing or trainers are permitted in the Clubhouse or on the Golf Course.



Spiked Golf shoes may be worn on the Ground Floor of the Clubhouse.



In the Main Lounge or Restaurant no caps/hats or shorts.



On the Golf Course gentlemen are permitted to wear tailored shorts when worn with white sports socks or any knee length socks. Shirts must have collars and be tucked in at the waist.

Additional Club Information • Lockers are available in both the men’s and women’s changing rooms. A £1.00 deposit is required •

Strokesavers are available for purchase from the Pro Shop for £5.00



A limited menu of hot and cold food will be available to golfers in the Spikes Bar located on the ground floor of the clubhouse.

Directions •

By road: M25 - A2 - M2 - A2 - A256. Once on Sandwich Road follow map.



By rail to Sandwich Station: Sandwich Station is situated on Delfside, off St Georges Road. Prince's is a short taxi ride away.



By road from Heathrow airport: Approximately 2 hours by car (M4 - M25 - A2 - M2 - A2 - A256).



By road from Gatwick airport: Approximately 1 hour 30 minutes by car (M23 - M25 - A2 - M2 - A2 A256).



Princes Golf Club is situated within a gated estate. When you reach the tollgate mention that you are playing at Princes and there will be no charge to enter.
