Are you new here? Thanks for joining us for our church gathering! Here are a few hints to help you through the morning...

We take our coffee seriously. That’s why we’ve got ethically sourced and fairly traded coffee available. Help yourself to it at any time. Our treat.

Coffee & Connection Time is what we call the 10-minute break during our gathering. This gives adults a chance to refill their coffee while kids get to their classrooms. Parents can take their baby (24 months and younger) to the nursery at any time.

Kids at the Ridge is the name of our program for children who are age 2 to grade 5. Find out more by visiting the check-in table at the Welcome Centre.

Family Ties. Helping with a Home-Cooked Meal   Last week, we announced that a number of people in our church family are going through various challenges. Providing a home-cooked meal is a tangible way we can support others and show them we care. If you’d like to help, you can pick up a food container at the Welcome Centre and take it home with you. You’ll find a cheat sheet in the container that will give you ideas on what to make and where to take the food once you’ve prepared it. If you have any questions, please contact Pastor Keith.

Benevolence Offering  Want someone to pray with you? We’ll have people who can pray with you available at the end of our gathering. You can tell them as much or as little as you’d like. They won’t be nosy and they’ll keep it to themselves.

“We aspire to be a loving and listening people, extending God’s hope and reconciliation to our community in all of life, all of the time” We’d love for you to fill out a Welcome Card at the Welcome Centre. This will help us respond to any questions you might have. We won’t bother you with unwanted phone calls or spam mail. We promise. You might also want to visit our website, jerichoridge.com, become a fan of our Facebook page, or follow us on Twitter, @jerichoridge.   Thanks for joining us! We hope to see you again soon.

On communion Sundays we provide an opportunity for you to give to JRCC's Benevolence Fund which is used to resource people facing various life challenges.  If you would like to help, please write "Benevolence" on your offering envelope, let our Welcome Centre host help you make a donation via debit, or indicate your designation via e-mail ([email protected]) following an online gift.

Prayer Response Training - Feb 16  We are in need of several individuals and couples to serve as prayer response team members once per month at the end of our gatherings. Next Sunday, Pastor Brad and Meg Sumner will host a one-hour training seminar in Room 3 of the Rec Centre that will equip you with the tools and confidence you need to serve and deepen our community in this vital area. Register via ACS so we know how many to prep soup and buns for.

Sound Training - Sunday, March 2   On March 2 we are hosting an early morning (8:30 a.m.) sound training seminar with professional audio engineer Steve Klassen.  In this highly interactive, hands-on morning, you'll learn how to mix for the Banquet Hall and get an opportunity to work with a group of professional musicians.  Brand new as well as experienced sound techs are invited.  Register online via ACS so we know how many people will need a strong cup of morning coffee!

What’s happening? Bake Sale – TODAY! JRCC is sending a team of 15 people to Guatemala this March 15-22. They will be distributing wheelchairs to the physically challenged, building two small homes, and distributing food, clothing, and supplies to needy families. Today, the team will be hosting a good old-fashioned bake sale, silent auction style!  There are lots of delicious treats to bid on (winning bids of $50 or more are eligible for tax receipts).

Watch a Movie, Help a Family! Our Guatemala team will be hosting a family movie fundraiser at the Clova Cinema (5732 176 St) this upcoming Saturday, Feb 15 at 3:45 p.m. We will be showing The LEGO Movie and tickets are available today for a minimum donation of $5. Bring your own bowl to fill with popcorn and make sure to invite your friends!

Bump Date - Sunday, Feb 23  In two weekends, JRCC will be having our Sunday worship gathering in the Centre Gymnasium at the LEC. You'll want to park in the north lot and enter through Gate 1 (the sliding doors).

Newcomers’ Luncheon – March 2 Come and meet other people who are newer to our church family and looking to get connected. You’ll have the chance to ask our leadership team questions and hear about the history, mission, and values that God has called us to. Online registration is open at jerichoridge.com (you can visit the Welcome Centre for registration help) and childcare is available should you need it.

Age 2-3 Room A

Several youth have expressed interest in helping and teaching at K@TR! Our plan is to train these new volunteers this month so they can begin teaching in our K, Grade 1, and Grade 2 classes in March. In order to do this, we need to adjust our current teaching schedule and provide an extra helper to assist our teachers as they graciously teach a combined class for Grades 1-2 on Feb 23 and Mar 2. If you’re able and willing to help out on these dates, please contact Ruth Ellen ([email protected]).

Youth Small Group Night – Feb 13 We’re breaking into our small groups on Thursday, Feb 13  from 6:30-9 p.m. for a night sharing a meal together, playing games and great discussion. Check your youth update this week for the location of where each group is meeting or e-mail Mike at ([email protected]).
