Lindsey Schacter is a JRCC supported mission worker. Lindsey is the Staff Development & Operations Manager with GAiN Canada, which exists to demonstrate the love of God through relief and development projects. Today we'll be hearing from Pastor J*, who is Global Aid Network's Middle Eastern partner. Pastor J* and his team serve on the front lines of the Syrian conflict, ministering the love of Christ to those in need. For more info on GAiN's work in Syria, visit Lindsey at GAiN's booth or email her at [email protected] Last weekend we announced the hiring of Tammy Goh as our Office and Facility Manager. Tammy will begin working with JRCC on Dec. 11 and will provide 30 hours a week toward getting our new facility up and running, and keeping our administrative functions humming along. Please join us in welcoming Tammy.

Vision Night - Sunday, Nov 25 (5:00 PM)

Register on our website or app for our Annual Potluck & Vision Night. We'll focus on 2019 ministry and facility plans and vote on a new budget. Info packets will be available Nov 18. Childcare will be available ($4/child) if registered before Nov 21.

Cultivating disciples of Jesus who embody God’s love everywhere we go.

Family Ties.

During November, Crossway Church will be moving their offices and furnishings out of the Jericho Centre as they merge with Crossridge Church. During this time, JRCC will retain office operations in our current space on Mufford Cres. On Dec. 1 we'll be loading up a moving truck and bring our offices to the Jericho Centre. Please note that Heritage Christian Online School continues to meet at the Jericho Centre on Thursdays until Dec 6. We ask for your grace and patience as we work together during this time of transition. JRCC's Christmas tradition is to raise additional funds to bless our supported mission workers. Our goal is to again raise $5,000 (last year we exceeded it!) and we invite you to give generously this Christmas. You can do this by specifying your giving on a Giving Envelope or by clicking on the Christmas Blessing project on Pushpay. Bev Moore is working to make our new space merry & bright this Advent season. If you have an old (but still nice) artificial tree or set of white lights you are willing to part with, please connect with the office [email protected] and let us know. Also, if you're interested in helping decorate for Christmas, contact our office and we'll be in touch!

What’s happening?

Due to the long weekend we switch over to our E.P.I.C. Sunday format, which means K@TR children Age 2 - Grade 1 will be in Sunday Cinema. While Grades 2 - 6 (including FUEL) will stay and participate in our family-inclusive worship gathering. Due to the nature of our focus on Syria, we understand that some content may not be suitable for a younger audience. If this is the case for your child, please feel free to send them to Sunday Cinema as an alternative.

On Saturday, Nov. 17 we will be setting up our Kids @ The Ridge class rooms in the Jericho Centre and we need your help! We'll be washing walls, vacuuming floors, setting up furniture, and eating pizza. If you are able to give us a hand please register online.

We are going to light up the Jericho Centre with glow sticks this Thursday! Come on out from 7-9 PM for a bunch of glow-in-the-dark games. Bring your "brightest" friends for a great evening.

Wally Nickel, senior associate pastor, [email protected] Coffee & Connection is what we call the ten-minute break during our gathering. This is your chance to top up with our ethically sourced and fairly traded coffee or other refreshments, meet some new friends, and, if you have kids, help them get off to their K@TR classrooms. Kids @ The Ridge is our Nursery - Grade 4 ministry where kids learn about God, hear from God and respond to God. Kids join their teachers in their classrooms during Coffee & Connection and parents pick them up from the class at the end of the main gathering. To find out more or to register your child, please visit the K@TR Check-in kiosk in the foyer. Want someone to pray with you? We’ll have people who can pray with you available at the end of our gathering. You can tell them as much or as little as you’d like. They won’t be nosy and they’ll keep it to themselves.
