Start Date: March 26, 2018 End Date: November 15, 2018 Hours: 32-40 hours per week Compensation: $10.02 per hour Number of Position Offered: 6 Housing: room share, $95 per week Host Company Description:

The host company is a well-known hotel in the area, a premier oceanfront resort and spa with a fine dining restaurant attracting not only tourists visiting the area, but also locals who enjoy the breathtaking ocean view and upon the sunset, the music of the grand piano. Visitors to the area will find themselves surrounded with mansions and majestic hotels which serve as reminders of Bar Harbor’s past (in the 19th century, it was a favorite vacation spot of the upper class society). Today, visitors kayak, explore Acadia National Park, go bird- or whale-watching, and enjoy salty sea air and sandy beaches. The internship will be focused Food and Beverage operation at the hotel, restaurant and banquet service. Applicant Qualifications:    

To apply for the Internship program, applicants must be hospitality or restaurant management undergraduate/graduate students OR a be recent graduates who begin program within 12 months of the graduation date To apply for the Trainee program, applicants must hold hospitality or restaurant management degrees and have least 1 year of professional work experience related to the degree, OR be career professionals of 5 or more years of professional experience in this field Advanced spoken English is required An ideal applicant should have previous food and beverage and guest services work experience
