MESSAGE NOTES

Holy Roar | Part 2

Worship is focusing our total being on _______________ in the midst of _________________. What keeps me from whole-hearted, full-bodied worship? Unhealthy ____________________________. So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time he will lift you up in honor. Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you. 1 Peter 5:6-7 (NLT) What is whole-hearted, full-bodied worship? 1. Whole-hearted, full-bodied worship is an invitation to ___________________. Let everything that breathes sing praises to the Lord! Praise the Lord! Psalm 150:6 (NLT) Don’t drink too much wine. That cheapens your life. Drink the Spirit of God, huge draughts of him. Sing hymns instead of drinking songs! Sing songs from your heart to Christ. Sing praises over everything, any excuse for a song to God the Father in the name of our Master, Jesus Christ. Ephesians 5:18-19 (The Message) “But his father said to the servants, ‘Quick! Bring the finest robe in the house and put it on him. Get a ring for his finger and sandals for his feet. And kill the calf we have been fattening. We must celebrate with a feast, for this son of mine was dead and has now returned to life. He was lost, but now he is found.’ So the party began.” Luke 15:22-24 (NLT) 2. Whole-hearted, full-bodied worship is an invitation to ____________________. My heart is confident in you, O God; my heart is confident. No wonder I can sing your praises! Wake up, my heart! Wake up, O lyre and harp! I will wake the dawn with my song. Psalm 57:7-8 (NLT) And whenever the tormenting spirit from God troubled Saul, David would play the harp. Then Saul would feel better, and the tormenting spirit would go away. 1 Samuel 16:23 (NLT)

GRACE NEWS

If you want more information or to volunteer with any of these opportunites, please make a note on the Let’s Connect card. What’s up with the 9:41? Why do the church bells chime at 9:41 every day? Why does church start at 9:41 on Sunday? Matthew 9:37-38 says “Then he said to his disciples, ‘The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”’ We are praying for laborers and we are praying that God would equip us to be harvesters! Set you phone alarm and join us in praying at 9:41 every day for our community, and the (941) area code. Small Group Big Bash – TONIGHT at 6:00 pm – Jesus was in a small group! In order to grow spiritually you need to connect relationally. If you haven’t joined a small group yet, or are interested in checking out a different one, this is the place to be. Short term mission teams now forming for: • Neighborhood outreach, Showers for the homeless, Samaritan’s Purse trip to the Panhandle. • Juarez, Mexico - July 14-20, 2019. We will be hosting VBS and evangelizing with our mission partners, Marie and Nolan Shockey. • Cambodia - October 28-November 7, 2019. We will be prayer walking in restrictive, unreached areas rife with human trafficking, participating in a seminar in a Bible College, ministering to at risk children, providing rest and encouragement for local missionaries. Partnering with our mission partner, Phil Hudson. For more information on any of these, please contact Bethany Rinehart at brinehart@egracechurch, call the office or indicate on your Connect Card.
