PRINCIPAL MESSAGE

Dear Parents, Our next Principal’s Forum is next Wednesday at 9:00AM in the RRC, and I would love for you to be present to learn more about our academics at Weslaco College Preparatory. Our parents in our first session learned a lot about how to support their children at our school on their path to college. Note that this is a repeat session. We have just begun our 3rd Quarter for the year, and our Colts are hitting the ground running. If you have any questions on progress towards academic goals, please reach out to your son/daughter’s teacher. We are just 8 weeks away from our English Language Arts STAAR exams. I ask your support in ensuring your Colt attends all tutorials and Saturday Schools to learn all necessary grade level material. Thank you for your support! Sincerely, Mrs. Sarinana

Junior Parents! In IDEA’s efforts to help our students afford & attend a Collegiate Summer Away Program (CSAP), funding has been found to help our students with scholarships. While we have not been allocated enough to cover all costs, we are ecstatic to have received some assistance for our Colts! Your child will be completing the CSAP Scholarship Application during Catalyst next week, and these applications will be reviewed by College Counselors from across IDEA. Scholarship amounts will vary depending on program fees, tuition, and travel costs. Please help us in ensuring that your child has their Personal Statements finalized this weekend, and uploaded onto Naviance.
