TRUE CRIME STORIES

Hosted by The Venturers

With Kathryn Casey

From early on, Kathryn Casey loved to read, so much that as a little kid, her mother had to order her to put the book down and go out and play. After college, she spent nearly 20 years as a magazine writer, contributing more than 100 articles to national magazines including TV Guide, Rolling Stone, Texas Monthly, and Readers’ Digest. She began her career at the late-but-great Houston City Magazine, where she covered her first murder case — from that point on, she was hooked. During her years covering crime, Casey’s written nine true crime books and expanded into fiction. The first book in her mystery series, Singularity, introduces Lieutenant Sarah Armstrong, the Texas Rangers’ lone profiler, as she hunts a seriously strange killer. Kathryn Casey is a member of the Author’s Guild and Mystery Writers of America. She says, “I do enjoy the writing, and I sincerely hope you enjoy the reading!” She and her husband live in Houston with their dog, a funny and fluffy white and gray Havanese named Nelson.
