January 2019 Tigers Newsletter Dear Parents, Happy New Year! We hope you and your family had a wonderful Christmas. Hard to believe that a new year is here. Thank you for sharing your child with us. We have been blessed to have your child in our class and it is a joy to watch all of them learn and grow. We had a wonderful December. We learned about Christmas and the birth of Jesus. We sang Christmas songs, and made a very special Christmas present for our parents. We also had fun making a nativity scene and a Christmas tree. We enjoyed listening to Christmas music in our classroom. The children loved going to the Christmas Program and singing those special songs. Thank you to the parents and grandparents who came to enjoy this special time with our class and everybody else there. We want to thank each and every one of you parents for the special gifts you gave us this Holiday season. We truly appreciate it! We look forward to fun-filled January. We will be talking about winter and all the wonderful things that go with it. Some of the things to look forward to are making a snowperson, and a snow picture. We will be learning how we dress for the cold weather outside. Our class will be joining the Lions class for a pajama and movie day. We will put a note on the board with the date of this special fun day! We go outside every day, so please send a coat or sweater for your child. Also, please remember to send a change of clothes in case of some accidents. It helps if they are long pants, long sleeve top and socksall labeled with your child’s name or initials. Thank you so much! We would also like to send a reminder that toys from home should stay home. We would be sad if your child’s favorite toy got lost or broken. We look forward to a wonderful January.
