NORTHVIEW CHRISTIAN SCHOOL NEWSLETTER 2019

Welcome to 2019 at Northview Christian School. We are all so happy to be here! Hopefully, you will like your Christmas gifts. We had fun making them. We also had a great time taking the bus to Mobius. Thank you all for participating! We have lots of fun stuff coming up so read on! CURRICULUM

VALENTINE’S DAY

In January, we begin talking about how Jesus grows up . . . His boyhood, trip to the temple, His journey to the cross and His glorious resurrection.

In the middle of our study of how Jesus grows up, we will celebrate Valentine’s Day, so you can be looking for the perfect box of Valentines or making them! We will have a low key party and exchange cards. More details to come. Winter is here! Tuesday and Wednesdays are snow play days. Please send snow pants, boots , hats and gloves.

REGISTRATION FOR FALL for 2018-2019 Registration will be open to in-house families first on January 14h. Open registration begins January 22nd. (Kindergarteners must be 5 yrs old by September 1st) K will be $250/month; MWF Preschool (4 yrs old by September 1st) will be $175; TTh Preschool (3 yrs old by September 1st) will be $150. Come in for registration forms or pick one up outside the office. We do not advertise, so please pass the word around.

DATE CHANGE! Our church is obviously undergoing a remodel. The sanctuary won’t be finished until the end of April, so we are moving our program to May 9th. PLEASE mark your calendars!

FUND RAISER

In the Spring, we will be holding a Trike-a-thon! All preschool kids and Kindergarteners are encouraged to participate. All siblings are invited. Children are allowed to ride anything with wheels. Watch for details. SAVE THE DATE . . . APRIL 26!

FIELD TRIPS and OTHER DATES TO REMEMBER K and MWF classes will be going ice skating at Eagles Ice Arena. Dates and times to follow. TTH classes will have the opportunity to go next year! Jan. 9th and 10th Moms and Muffins. We provide muffins and milk. It is “Mm” week. 8:45 in children's classrooms. SNOW DAYS

If Mead calls a snow day, we have a snow day. If they have a late start, we won’t have school. Tune in to any local channel and they will have school closure news. On a rare occasion, we will call a snow day if we deem it is in the best interest of the safety of the children, regardless of what Mead decides. You will receive a text or you

BOX TOP CONTEST

The class with the most box tops at the end of January will have a popsicle party! The MWF class as well as the Kindergarten class will compete among themselves as will the TTh classes. Give all box tops to your child’s teacher. The contest is on!
