January 19, 6-8pm Blitz is an event that takes place 3 times a year and is for all kids in 4th - 6th grade. We take over the church and play games, and then we have pizza and have someone share their testimony about their walk with God. Kids are encouraged to bring their friends for this outreach event.

Family Fun Night January 13, 6-8pm This is a night for the whole family to come and hangout with PSM and play games, eat snacks, talk about the next semester, and we will also have two guest speakers: Pastor Dave Foster and Amanda Redlinger from Keys to Living Christian Counseling. They will talk with the parents for part of the night about relevant issues, like anxiety and depression in the lives of our students and how to handle these issues as parents.

Ski Trip January 20, Chestnut Mountain, Galena Join us for a fun filled day at Chestnut Mountain as we spend the day skiing, playing games and eating awesome food. Cost is $55-$80. Dinner and transportation included. Register online at parkviewchurch.org/events.

Bridges: Christians Connecting with Muslims Sundays, January 20-February 24, 8-8:55am

Bridges is a basic 6-week introduction for how to build friendships/gospel bridges with Muslims living in Iowa City. It is written by Fouad Masri of the Crescent Project, Parkview's most recent Global Conference Speaker. Paul Donaldson, Parkview's Pastor of Global Outreach, will be leading/facilitating. What does it mean to believe the gospel and follow Jesus? What is God doing in the world, and how can I take part in it through the church? If you're new to faith or want to recapture the basics of the Christian faith, consider joining us for this three part class that will provide answers to these questions and many more. Note that this class is a prerequisite for membership at Parkview, so if you want to take the membership class on February 17, you'll need to start with this course.

New Testament Introduction Sundays, February 3-17, 8am

In this short 3-week class we will be covering an introduction to the Intertestament Period as well as the Gospels. If you have ever wondered where to start reading in the Bible, this would be a great starting point for you. This class will be taught by Pastor Dave Foster. Sermon on the Mount

February 6-April 17, 9:15am This study, which will use the book and video teachings of Jen Wilkin's Sermon on the Mount series, will focus on the life of a disciple. Come learn with us and participate in small groups that will lead us through what the Bible has to say about how a disciple thinks, speaks, and acts as we interact with others. Wednesdays, 8pm, IMU The Reunion is our large group gathering where we worship Jesus in song, learn about Jesus from the Bible, and see how Jesus changes the lives of students here at Iowa. Any student is welcome here: you do not have to believe what we believe in order to belong in our community.
