January 2019

Point your kids in the right direction— when they’re old they won’t be lost. Proverbs 22:6 (MSG)

I hope this finds you having enjoyed the holidays and anticipating a great 2019! In recent months the CYMT (Children and Youth Ministry Team) has spent a great amount of time crafting our church’s spiritual educational goals for children and youth. Many of you have received a document tailored to your child’s age with the bible stories and concepts their age group will be covering in church in 2018-19. If you have not, or it has been lost in the myriad of life’s handouts, we have them available for request. With only so much time with your children each week, we leave the remainder of what we don’t cover in a given year to you. To assist you in what can seem a daunting task, we are gifting each family in our church with The Jesus Storybook Bible. A Bible like no other, The Jesus Storybook Bible invites us to join in the greatest of all adventures, to discover for ourselves that Jesus is at the center of God's great story of salvation---and at the center of our Story too. Many families received their bibles at our Christmas Eve services. If you did not, you can pick it up in the education wing when our regular schedule resumes Sunday, January 13th. I look forward to embarking on 2019 with you and your family! Blessings, Linda Klepaczyk Frequently, I direct people to our SFUMC Facebook Page and they tell me they didn’t know we have a SFUMC Facebook Page! Take a second and like our page to get lots of pictures, videos, event info, and updates on the goings on in the life of our church! Click Here to See Our Page!
