BOY SCOUT SUNDAY is Feb. 5th at Salem. Cub Pack 198 and Boy Scout Troop 198 invite all registered Cub Scouts & Boy Scouts in the congrega"on to wear their Scout uniform. Former Scouts are encouraged to wear their lapel pin of their highest rank. Scou"ng family members are encouraged to wear their “pride ribbons” for their favorite Scout(s). The church will observe Boy Scout Sunday at the 9:30 service, but a showing of Scou"ng spirit is welcome at all services.

OPPORTUNITIES FOR CHILDREN Child Care at 9:00am & 11:00am for children up to 36 months in Room 106. Sunday School for children 4yrs through 5th grade at 9:30 and for children 3yrs old through 3rd grade at 11:00am. FIELD PROJECT: You may recall back in December when we announced that the RL Lacrosse Club had obtained FREE fill and offered to pay for all other costs associated to level the east field of the church property in exchange for their use of the field. As you may have no%ced, this project has begun! The “roadway that has been created along the backside of the cemetery is temporary and only for the use of the construc%on vehicles. This will make a great area for various sports and ac%vi%es. If you have any addi%onal ques%ons, please don’t hesitate to contact the church office.

REDCAP FUEL DRIVE ends today. Help local families in need heat their homes this winter by donating to the REDCAP Fuel Fund. Checks should be written to FCSUMC with “Fuel Drive” in the memo. Contact Laurie Murry with questions. ATTENTION TREASURERS! Please submit 2016 financial records (including the final bank statement of the year) to the church office by January 29th for the annual audit to be conducted.

SENIOR EXERCISE PROGRAM ~ BAND TOGETHER: Hershey Medical Center, as part of a research project, is offering training & equipment to hold a senior exercise program here at Salem. Three people are needed to lead a group. Leaders are required to attend a one day training session. If you are interested in leading such a program, sign up on the Connection Card or contact Susan Ryder ([email protected]).

IT’S EGG MAKING TIME AGAIN! Join us for egg making preparation, Jan. 26th, 9am. Egg production starts on Monday, Jan. 30th, 8am-1pm. Sign up on the Connection Card to help ~ Everyone is welcome!! FAMILIES IN THE FIELD will meet on Feb. 5th at noon in Rooms 112-114 for a potluck lunch and mission. Item of the Month: Mission Central sends their kits all over the world. An item needed to process these kits that o:en gets overlooked is 1/2” to 1” transparent tape. Please place the tape in the bin marked "Mission Central Item of the Month" located at the end of the hall outside Nursery School rooms (rooms 112-114).
