Blessed are all who fear the Lord, who walk in obedience to him. Psalm 128:1 (NIV) How can I be freed for joyful obedience? 1. Practice ______________________________. On the seventh day God had finished his work of creation, so he rested from all his work. And God blessed the seventh day and declared it holy, because it was the day when he rested from all his work of creation. Genesis 2:2-3 (NLT) 2. Practice ______________________________. Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation. I will be honored throughout the world. Psalms 46:10 (NLT) 3. Practice _______________________. As you enter the house of God, keep your ears open and your mouth shut. It is evil to make mindless offerings to God. Don’t make rash promises, and don’t be hasty in bringing matters before God. After all, God is in heaven, and you are here on earth. So let your words be few. Ecclesiastes 5:1-2 (NLT) 4. Practice __________________________. As often as possible Jesus withdrew to out-of-the-way places for prayer. Luke 5:16 (The Message)

INVOCATION

Leading and Guiding God, you have opened the doors to us for true service. We are encouraged to become involved in ministries of peace and justice. The light of promise is reflected in your Spirit which rests in each one of us. Get us ready to serve you. Guide our lives, as we learn more of what you would have us do. AMEN.
