Salem Parish News – January 24, 2016 The flowers in the Sanctuary are given to the glory of God in memory of Jeff Codon by the Condon family. The flowers in Fellowship Hall are given to the glory of God in memory of Sally Scha1 by the Keefer family.

Christmas Eve Offering Salem gave nearly $14,000 to Mission Central at our Christmas Eve services! Thank you to everyone who contributed and assisted Mission Central. EGG MAKER S WOULD LIKE TO THANK THE YOUTH AND SCOUTS FOR THEIR HELP ON MONDAY!. GREAT WORK!

OPPORTUNITIES FOR CHILDREN Child Care at 9:00am & 11:00am for children up to 36 months in Room 106. Sunday School for children 4yrs through 12th grade at 9:30 and for children 3yrs old through 3rd grade at 11:00am.

ANNUAL FUEL DRIVE ENDS TODAY! Dona!ons benefit our neighbors who may otherwise be without heat this winter. Proceeds go to REDCAP who distribute the funds. Checks may be made out to FCSUMC with “Fuel Drive” in the memo.

CHRISTMAS CLOSET is NOT accepting donations at this time. We’re busy cleaning and organizing the Ministry Workshop area. Announcement:

Starting this year, we are looking into a new approach to 7th grade confirmation. Pastor John, Joan Dean, and Becca George are working on restructuring this process. Things are still thoughtfully and prayerfully in the works. There will be a Q&A session on January 24th from 4-5pm. This meeting is for youth and their parents to introduce our ideas and receive feedback from anyone interested. We are very excited to see how God leads this program, and we hope to see you there!

WEEKEND TO REMEMBER MARRIAGE RETREAT! Enhance your marriage with a weekend getaway at the Hershey Lodge Feb. 12-14th. Tickets are Buy One Get One FREE until Jan. 25th. WALKING IN FAITH CLASS is looking for an individual interested in co-leading a Sunday morning small group for all adults ages 2545. This group will focus on God in our lives, marriage, children, careers and the everyday journey of this time in our lives. EGG MAKING CONTINUES every Monday & Wednesday un!l March 18th! Mixing begins at 6am with produc!on to follow (typically about 8am). All flavors will be available Jan. 25th. Pick up !mes will be Mon. & Wed. 9am-2pm & 6-7pm as well as Sunday 12:00-12:30pm. There are many ways top help with this project. You can help by signing up to contribute to the “Egg Maker Lunches”. Please check the sign up sheets in the Welcome Center and at the entrance of Fellowship Hall. Help is also needed to sell eggs in the evenings and aHer church on Sundays.
