JANUARY AFTER SCHOOL CARE NEWSLETTER

DEAR PARENTS, We pray you all had a wonderful Christmas with your family and have a blessed New Year. December was a magnificent time because we got to count down to the celebration of our savior Jesus Christ’s birth! We learned the true meaning of Christmas and got to ‘Love as a Servant’ by doing service projects and random acts of kindness.

LOOKING FORWARD TO JANUARY…..

Important Dates: 1 - New Year’s Day - Day One Closed 2-4 – No Preschool Full/Time Only 6 - Epiphany 7 – Preschool Resumes 13 – Baptism Marker 21 - Day One Closed For Professional Development 30 - Parent Chapel Lesson @11 28 - Feb 1 - National Lutheran Schools Week

During the month of January the children will be learning about the differences between hot and cold. They will discover places around the world with the different temperatures and enjoy activities like painting with ice cubes and hot cocoa sensory play. The children will have Science experiments with Ms. Sarah and Mrs. Money! They will learn how to make fake snow and how polar bears stay warm in below freezing temperatures!
