Student Finance Are you funded by Student Finance and thinking of withdrawing from your course? What you need to know 2018/19 January intake Standard undergraduate courses, excluding all nursing, midwifery and trimester courses

Depending on the date of your withdrawal, Student Finance may not pay your full tuition fee liability, so a portion of your fee may be re-invoiced to you to pay back directly to the University. Standard undergraduate courses, excluding all nursing, midwifery and trimester courses. Tuition fee liability 0% If you leave within the first three weeks of the start of semester one (28 January 2019 up to and including 17 February 2019) no fees are due. Neither you, nor Student Finance will be charged.

No tuition fees due

Tuition fee liability 50% If you withdraw after week three (18 February 2019 up to and including 29 April 2019) your tuition fee liability with the University will be 50% of your fees (£4,625). Student Finance will only pay £2,312.50 and you will therefore be invoiced for the portion they will not pay – £2,312.50.

Tuition fee liability 50% If you withdraw after 30 April 2019, up to and including the start of semester two, 23 September 2019, your tuition fee liability with the University will still be 50% – £4,625 but Student Finance will fund the full 50% of your tuition fee.

Tuition fee liability 100% If you withdraw after the 24 September 2019 your tuition fee liability with the University will still be 100% – £9,250 and Student Finance will pay 100% of your fees £9,250.

Please also be aware that, depending on the date of your withdrawal, this may also affect your maintenance payments from Student Finance. The above illustrations are based on tuition fees of £9,250 for a September starter. Please note that if you have been awarded a fee waiver or fee reduction then this will impact your tuition fee liability.
