Jasper swimming awards announced JASPER — The Jasper High School boys and girls swim teams held their end-of-the-season banquet on Sunday. Award winners at Sunday’s banquet were Raife Milligan (High Point), Noah Wagner (Most Improved), Amos Buschkoetter (Mental Attitude), Seth Eckert (Most Valuable Diver), Abraham DeLaCruz (Most Valuable Swimmer), Carmina Armstrong (High Point and Most Valuable Swimmer), Andi VanMeter (Most Improved), Leah Haas (Mental Attitude) and Zoe Biggs (Most Valuable Diver). Armstrong, Biggs and Megan Matheis were all recognized as members of the Big Eight all-conference team, while Armstrong, Milligan, Andrew King, Alyssa Skorge and Riley Sample were recognized as National Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association Academic AllAmericans and Indiana Swim Coaches Academic All-State selections.

Wildcat wrestlers honored at banquet JASPER — The Jasper wrestling team held its season-ending banquet on Tuesday evening, with several Wildcats receiving awards. Award winners were Zach Flynn (Most Valuable Wrestler, Iron Man, Most Team Points, Bobby Schitter Takedown Award, Joe Rohleder Award for Excellence, John McComish Wrestling/Football Award, Big Eight All-Conference, Senior Academic All-State First Team, Rick Stenftenagel Sportsmanship Award, Merit Scholarship), Will Collon (Most Improved, Coaches Award), Landon Betz (Team Motivator, Eli Green Award, John McComish Wrestling/Football Award, Senior Academic All-State First Team, Merit Scholarship), Ayden Wigand (Most Valuable JV), Ian Giesler (Freshman Award, All-Conference), Jainier Milanes (Fastest Pin Award), Abhay Rathee (John McComish Wrestling/Football Award, Senior Academic All State First Team, Merit Scholarship), Quade Popp (All-Conference), Cameron Eckstein (Academic All-State Honorable Mention), Gable Byrd (Kelli Eckert Spirit Award), Chase Mehringer (15th Man Award) and Jimmy Earley (Merit Scholarship).
