STUDENT MINISTRIES ASSOCIATE

Job Description

OBJECTIVE

The Student Ministries Associate will assist in cultivating a disciple making environment for Middle School and High School students by providing shepherding and gospel-centered leadership for students, families and volunteers, giving special focus to female students.

SCOPE

• Part-Time // Non-Exempt (20 hours per week) • Ministry Staff // Reports to Student Ministries Pastor

RESPONSIBILITIES NHC Staff • Be a champion of NHC’s vision and ministries • Work collaboratively with other NHC ministry leaders to cultivate partnership and effectiveness • Participate and invest in NHC staff community • Committed to NHC as a local church and eligible for church membership • Eagerly embrace additional opportunities to contribute to NHC’s ministry impact Student Ministries • Build into the lives of NHC female students and families through personal shepherding and community development • Support Sunday and Wednesday student programming in varying ways including planning, presence and teaching • Work with the student ministries team to implement cohesive vision and strategy for Middle and High School • Invest in relational outreach opportunities including Coffee House • Recruit, train and shepherd adult volunteers who share the vision of student ministries • Assist in the administration of student ministries as needed and as available • Assist in planning and leading retreats, mission trips and conferences that help students grow in community, mission and understanding of the Gospel • Collaborate with other ministry leaders to develop integrated discipleship strategy from birth up to adulthood
