Jimmy Smith Objective I wish to pursue God’s calling in my life to make disciples. I believe that God’s plan for his people is the local church and I wish to minister within the context of the local church in order to help people find hope and peace in the midst of their life struggles. I also believe that God calls us to go and be the church in our communities. I want to accomplish this task by assisting my local church to be available to the community to assist in meeting the needs of people hurting in the community. God has called me to be salt and light and has given me the tools of relationship building, teaching, preaching, pastoral care and counseling in order to accomplish his mission and vision for my life.

Personal I have been married to my wife, Shonda, for 20 years. We have three children: Tyler (16), Logan (13), and Katherine (11). I love the local church and am passionate about helping churches to make disciples. I love to golf and spend time with my family. I have spent most of my life working with teenagers and their families and still feel very passionate about that work. I like to laugh and enjoy listening to people tell/share their stories.
