JOB DESCRIPTION JOB TITLE: REPORTS TO: JOB STATUS:

Work Study -Student Assistant Educational Services Coordinator 10 Hours/Week

GENERAL STATEMENT OF JOB FUNCTION: Performs general administrative functions as assigned by the educational services coordinator and faculty human resources coordinator in support of educational services projects including but not limited to Denver Journal, faculty office hours, textbooks and associate dean, division chairs and faculty needs. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORKING CONDITIONS: Requires sitting, standing and walking for extended periods of time and frequent bending, stooping or stretching. Work is performed in an office environment and requires working at a computer for extended periods of time; eye-hand coordination, manual dexterity, the ability to distinguish letters and symbols, corrected vision and hearing within normal range. Requires speaking and writing proficiently in the English language. Requires the use of office equipment such as computers, printers, telephones, copiers and fax machines. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

General administrative support for educational services o Textbook entry o Denver Journal bibliography update o Faculty Office hours Assist faculty with various administrative tasks as assigned Assist with event preparation Special projects as assigned by the associate dean, faculty human resources coordinator and the educational services coordinator

EDUCATION/TRAINING:  Current Denver Seminary student in good standing and qualify for work study funds.  Administrative experience, proofreading abilities (spelling, style and grammar) and attention to detail are required.  Strong interpersonal skills required. Skills and commitment to discern and maintain confidentiality when needed.  Knowledge of office protocol and basic administrative procedures.  Experience with standard office equipment. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word (especially the ability to do a mail merge), Outlook, PowerPoint, Access and Excel is required. Part-time, hourly, temp December 2016

QUALIFICATIONS  Appreciation for managing administrative detail and able to multitask and manage time.  Able to relate well to diverse audiences.  Self-starter and self-motivated with a desire to take initiative; innovative, creative and flexible.  Ability to work with minimal supervision, but accepts supervision well and is a team player.
