Finance/Student Services Officer On-going, Full-Time Navitas is a diversified global education provider that offers an extensive range of educational services for students and professionals including university programs, English language training and settlement services, creative media education, workforce education and student recruitment. Navitas at FAU programs enable international students to successfully complete their undergraduate degrees at FAU using Navitas pathway programs. The Finance/Student Services Officer, in conjunction with the Finance Controller, is responsible for the maintenance and accuracy of the financial records for the business unit where they are located as well as other US centralized finance duties as assigned. This position also contributes to other key functions of the unit as required including Student Admissions, Student Support and Student Recruitment. Essential: 1. Two-year degree in accounting or similar discipline; Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of bookkeeping and the ability to apply the knowledge; Excellent Microsoft Office Suite skills i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook etc; Ability to effectively use various multimedia technologies and give persuasive presentations to varied audiences Demonstrated administrative/organizational skills, with ability to communicate verbally and in written form; Knowledge and experience with corporate financial, accounting and administrative information systems; Excellent customer service communication skills; Ability to work within existing guidelines, policies and procedures; Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining a professional manner; Self-motivated; ability to work independently or within a team environment, problem solve and demonstrate sound judgement; Valid Driver’s licence with a good driving record and reliable vehicle; Highly developed skills demonstrated in an environment of large volume work flows and critical deadlines; Ability to interact effectively and professionally with clients and staff at all levels and adjust communication style to meet varying needs; Outstanding interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity towards students and staff from a diverse range of backgrounds;

Desirable: 1. Master’s degree; 2. Experience in working with international students; 3. Experience in sales and highly developed presentation skills; 4. Primary Objectives of the position:

The Finance/Student Services Officer, in conjunction with the Finance Controller, is responsible for the maintenance and accuracy of the financial records for the business unit where they are located as well as other US centralized finance duties as assigned. This position also contributes to other key functions of the unit as required including Student Admissions, Student Support and Student Recruitment. 2.

Key Relationships: 1. Finance Controller 2. Business Unit Executive Director 3. Finance staff in other US Business Units 4. Executive Directors in other US Business Units 5. Marketing Director 6. Admissions Officer 7. Student Services Officer 8. Key University Personnel 9. Other stakeholders

Key accountabilities that are part of the Finance role: 1. Maintain Maze (Navitas IT system) for assigned business unit(s) 2. Assist with student liaison re account queries and billing 3. Production and remittance of Student Statements as required 4. Review of student financial records and make necessary adjustments 5. Responsible for student debt monitoring and collection 6. Reconcile University billings to Maze

7. Assist students with payments to the University for Housing, Meal Plans etc and liaise with key departments Additional assigned duties may include: 1. Commission processing for all Business Units 2. Maze receipting for all Business Units 3. Student invoicing for assigned Business Units 4. Refund processing for assigned Business Units 5. Accounts Payable entry into Oracle 6. Financial statements for specified Business Unit(s) including Oracle and Blackline.

Key accountabilities that are part of the Student Support role: 1. Assist Marketing staff with domestic student recruitment a. Develop strategies and implement appropriate activities to recruit international students who are already resident in the US b. Develop effective network of appropriate target schools and develop rapport with key contact c. Utilize technology to deliver effective multimedia presentation to key audiences d. Initiate appropriate follow-up with key contacts and prospective students e. Provide other assistance as needed during busy periods 2. Assist Admissions staff with matriculation of all students and providing key information and services to students: a. Accurate finance information at the point of offer b. Facilitate and monitor deposit payments prior to arrival c. Process any needed refunds to students d. Assist with the processing of Domestic applications e. Provide other assistance as needed during busy periods 3. Assist other Student Support staff with key projects: a. Provide accurate pre-arrival information related to program and service costs b. Assist in planning student activities and facilitate any needed billing c. Provide other assistance as needed during busy periods

Delegated Financial Authority: Financial authority for expenditure will be identified in annual budget.
