JOB DESCRIPTION

Position: Assistant Manager – Hope’s Closet Thrift Location: Arlington Classification: Hourly/Full-Time Reports To: Store Manager – Hope’s Closet Thrift Supervises: Hope’s Closet’s Employees Purpose To help manage and implement processes to obtain inventory and execute sales strategies to drive sales revenue while keeping focus on The Church of Eleven22 vision of being a movement for all people to discover and deepen a relationship with Jesus Christ. Education • Completion of a Bachelor’s Degree preferred Experience • 3-5 years of relevant work experience, must include retail management experience, clothing retail preferred. • Experience managing multiple employees/volunteers Key Responsibilities • Assist the General Manager in managing & executing Hope’s Closet’s Store Processes: o Sales o Operations, which include opening and closing the store o Customer Relations o Merchandising & Replenishment Process o Maintain Budget Control • Drive sales by overseeing the customer service and merchandising of store • Assist in execution of the store’s buying plan • Develop & manage Hope’s Closet employees and volunteers • 24/7 on call Hope’s Closet store contact (shared with Hope’s Closet management team and facility coordinator) • Ministry Partnership Success Factors • Model The Church of Eleven22 mission, vision, and core values. • Demonstrated ability to make Disciples who make Disciples • Ability to work in fast-paced work environment • Strong, pro-active communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills • Ability to generate sales revenue • Possess strong organizational, planning and problem solving skills
