Purpose of the job Maintain existing business opportunities and grow new business opportunities by working with the Key Account Manager (KAM) / Sales Development Manager (SDM) to build successful customer relationships
Scope of responsibility
To manage the incoming requests for quotes from the customer base and to follow up as required in order to maximise sales for Acal BFi UK
To proactively manage the order book and logistics interface between Acal BFi UK and its customers and suppliers, from order entry to delivery, along with managing any postdelivery issues
Main duties and accountabilities Quotations
Qualify and understand the nature of the request for the quote Determine resale price and lead time, working with External Sales / SDM / FAE as appropriate
Enter quotation on Netsuite (CRM system) Ensure all quotations comply with existing regulations (ITAR, Export Compliance, etc.) Working with the External Sales team, chase outstanding quotations and keep relevant teams and systems updated
Manage customer order book
Ensure both customer and Acal BFi have a clear understanding of the terms that are in place, including currency agreements
Accurate processing of customer orders, ensuring that all orders comply with current legislation and company guidelines
Where required, work with ACP and suppliers to ensure export licenses are in place Proactively pre-progress and update open customer orders where appropriate on a monthly basis Proactively informing customers and Sales teams when delivery dates change, both verbally and electronically Work with ACP and suppliers to ensure orders are delivered on time Regularly update customers with most recent lead time and use the drift report to highlight where customers should be placing new orders/additional business Dealing with customer enquiries on existing and shipped orders Controlling and monitoring buffer, safety and consignment stock agreements, where these have been agreed with customers and the Acal BFi management Managing post-sale issues, e.g. queries, complaints, RMAs and repairs Work with KAM to proactively manage customer orders and contracts to ensure prices and lead-times are reviewed and renewed in a timely fashion (using drift report) Work with KAM to establish and meet/exceed customers KPIs. This may require KPIs to be created and agreed Work with KAM to ensure NetSuite is kept up to date Understand the gaps in customer Whitespace and work with SDM / Key Account Managers to fill in the gaps and create strategies to offer Acal BFi solutions Work with KAM to promote sister companies and exclusive and strategic suppliers to the customers Work with KAM to establish customers’ preferred communication routes but ensure we do not solely rely on email to build relationships Work with KAM to look for process/ways of working improvements that add value for the customer and Acal BFi
