WORSHIP ATTENDANCE Wednesday, 6/29/2016—22 Sunday, 7/3/2016—120

OUR CHRISTIAN SYMPATHY is extended to the family of George Harrington, a long time Pilgrim member, who passed away on Monday, July 4th at age ninety-one. Funeral arrangements are still being worked out, and the service will be sometime within the next 1-2 weeks. That information will be sent out once the details are finalized. May all who mourn find peace and hope in the knowledge of God’s saving power in Jesus Christ. VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL is right around the corner and once again we need your help with foods and supplies for our snack time. Please check out the forms at the Welcome desk to sign up. Your contributions are greatly appreciated! ~ Gloria Worth and all the VBS campers! MINNESOTA YOUTH TO VISIT PILGRIM—A Pilgrim Youth Event coming on July 16th! Brian Gegel, a former member of Pilgrim is now a pastor in Minnesota. He is bringing 7 youth from his church to a work-camp in Indy. They will be spending Saturday night, July 16 at our church! THE PILGRIM YOUTH will host this group of kids! The Minnesota Youth will arrive around 6:30 pm on the 16th! Please plan to be at church by 6:30 pm. We are going to go to Lions Park in Zionsville for basketball and volleyball, and then come back to Pilgrim for pizza and ice-cream sundaes!! Their youth will share about their prior trips and their current trip. It will be a great way for us to learn about getting involved in some youth mission work! Please let Mrs. Pitts know if you can attend so we know how many drivers and how much food we will need. SAVE THE DATE: July 23, 2016 will be our annual outing at Symphony on the Prairie. Plan to join us for a night under the stars listening to the music of Billy Joel and Elton John. Two tables have been reserved. The tickets for the concert complete with table seat is $29 per person. Please see Mary and Steve Sullivan for your ticket!

YOU DID IT! Thanks to the many people who attended Friday night’s movie event and who donated to “stuff the steer”, we exceeded our goal by raising $565 in support of Hamilton County Harvest Food Bank’s “MEATing” the need project. Special thanks to Carol and Dick Dahoney, Gail Powell, and members of our youth group for their hard work in setting up this project. These funds will go directly to HCHFB to provide fresh beef to area pantries (including Pilgrim’s) for distribution to families in need. Well done! 2016 HAMILTON COUNTY AND INDY BACKPACK ATTACK SCHOOL SUPPLY DRIVE—Our Youth Group will be taking part in the 2016 Hamilton County and Indy Backpack Attack school supply drives by collecting supplies and helping sort and count supplies. We will collect supplies in bins in the narthex until July 19. This will be our fourth year participating in the Backpack Attack. We will be splitting our donated supplies between the Indianapolis and Hamilton County Backpack Attack programs. The lists of items needed are on the narthex table. The Youth Group will also be going to Noblesville to help organize Hamilton County supplies after VBS on Friday, July 22. If you would like to participate in this volunteer opportunity along with the youth, please contact Jenny Pitts at 317-732-4081 or [email protected] Please join us for an OLD TIME HYMN SUNDAY on Sunday, August 7th. We are going to DUST OFF a few of the Golden Oldies to be sung at worship services that day. PASTOR AL'S B-24 PLANE RIDE---Mark your calendars! Pastor Al will "take a ride" on a B-24, the plane on which his father was a crew member, having flown 54 missions in the China-Burma-India (CBI) Theater in the Pacific during World War II. This will occur on Monday, August 8th at 5:00 PM at the Purdue Airport, 1501 Aviation Dr. Lafayette, IN 47907. Hope to see some of you there. Believe the flight time is about 30 minutes. If you have any questions please call Dick Dahoney (cell) 317-727 2468. Pastor Al is really looking forward to this and said "the more the merrier" to witness this event. DAILY DEVOTIONAL BOOKLETS, “Christ in Our Home” for July through September, 2016, are

now available. Please pick up a copy in the narthex, or ask an usher to assist you in obtaining one. NURSERY VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! If you would like to help as a volunteer in the church nursery, please contact Sundy Hughes at [email protected] or by phone at 317847-8493. Volunteers will be assisting paid staff. There is a immediate need for help at the 10:45 a.m. worship service. If I have sufficient people a person may volunteer once every 6-8 weeks.
