The first Sunday of every month is what we call Community Giveback Sunday. BPC has partnered with local missions who have tangible needs – Inner City School, Life’s Options, and EcHO. They are experts in serving people in areas that we cannot do ourselves. Please take a moment to look on the website to see what the needs are and bring them on the first Sunday of every month. In December of 2008, Bergen Park Church waved goodbye to its first ever homegrown missionaries. After a tearful final worship service with our friends at BPC, my wife Amy and I, along with our two wee children, got on a plane bound for Lyon, France to work as church planters with ReachGlobal, the international mission of the Evangelical Free Church of America. Ten years have passed and a lot has happened. Our family has grown, our team of missionaries has increased, our role has changed to include leadership of the team, and our sphere of influence in Lyon has developed beyond traditional church planting to include numerous gospel initiatives. God is doing some great things in France and we can’t wait to tell you more in August when we visit. ― Jonah and Amy Haddad
- Please pray for our sister church in Juarez, Mexico, and for the Nunez Family. Pray that their bold witnessing will continue and for their safety. - Please pray for our youth and Brian and Jenni. Pray that their relationship with Jesus would strengthen during this summer break and coming school year.
- Please be praying for Gary and Amy George who have answered their calling to missions. Gary and Amy were a part of our congregation for a short time. Those who have had the privilege of getting to know them have been influenced by their contagious love of Jesus and their dependency on prayer. They are working on selling their home and are leaving their belongings as they move to Myanmar. - Thank you, Center for the Arts Evergreen, for the beautiful open house for our congregation. If you haven’t yet seen it, or ever considered getting a year membership, head over across the street to our neighbors and let them know you are from the church. - The Annual Rockies Faith Day is Sunday, July 29th against the Oakland Athletics. After the game will be a concert from the worship band, Passion. Tickets are $18. Sign up by July 15th on the website or at the Connect Center. Full payment is due by July 16th. Please be sure to designate payments with “Faith Day.” - Lost and Found! Our Lost and Found is overflowing with tons of left treasures! A table in the lobby will be setup for the first few weeks this month. Left overs will be donated to ECHO on July 22. - Eagle Lake Camp was a success! About 100 children made our facility their home for day camp where they made new friends, had fun, and learned about Jesus. Thank you, Eagle Lake staff and all of the volunteers and sponsors, for making this event possible.
