KFC will resume on Sunday, August 11, for children in the threes through second grade classes.

Jimmy Coulson, son of Tommy Reaves’ girlfriend, Donna Coulson, is in MD Anderson for cancer treatment.

Camp: What an awesome and fun-filled week! Thanks to all of the folks who helped make this past week at Timber Creek Camp a time of spiritual awakening and renewal for the kids (and adults) of Meadowbrook. A special thanks also goes to those who donated scholarships so that some who might not have been able to go otherwise got to be a part of camp.

News______________________________________________ Fellowship Meals Please join us today for a potluck luncheon at noon in the FC-fh and say goodbye to the Neill family. We will not have our normal 2nd Sunday fellowship meal on August 11. College and Young Professionals Trip The college and young professionals group will be going to Blue Bayou Water park on Saturday, August 10. All college age or young singles are invited to join us for a day of fun and fellowship. The church van will be leaving the parking lot at 9 am. The cost is $37.00 for admission and, if you bring a Coke can it’s $32.00. Small Group Leaders Luncheon Small Groups are set to start back on August 18. In preparation, there will be a Small Group Leaders Luncheon on August 11 in the Family Center immediately following our morning worship gathering.

Fall Semester: With the end of camp, the MYG summer is coming to a close. But that means that fall is right around the corner. Be on the lookout for details about classes and events that we have planned for the fall. What an awesome time to be in MYG!

Sharing___________________________________________ Shepherd Selection Today is the last day to turn in to the current shepherds any scriptural objections you have to any of the four men who were nominated to serve as shepherds. The four nominees are Phil Lucas, Bud Martin, David Read, Jesse Simpson. Congregational Assessment Team The Congregational Assessment Team, along with the shepherds and ministers, will be meet ing with Jon Mullican on Saturday, August 3, to begin working together. Thank You Dear Meadowbrook Family, Thank you so much for the food, phone calls, visits, prayers and other expressions of love and concern prior to and during the recovery period following my back surgery.
