What’s Happening This Summer?

At First Baptist Lafayette our core values are taken from Psalm 71:14-19… to preach the same gospel, to the next generation, until all the nations know, and do it all for God’s glory.

Thank You For Coming

From Our Pastor

If you are our guest, we have a special gift for you after today’s service. So that we can get to know you better, please ill out both sides of this tear-off section and bring it to the Information Center near the columns. We have a gift bag ready for you.

Welcome to First Baptist Church! Thank you for your faithfulness in attending worship this summer. If you are a guest today, I hope that you will not mind doing a couple of things. First, please take a moment to ill out the guest registration card that is in today’s bulletin. Second, take a moment to visit with one of our volunteers at the Information Center. They can help you ind a Bible Study group to attend as well as provide you other information about our church. They also have a gift for you. Continue to pray for our mission teams who are scattered around the world. I trust that you will be in prayer for each group. Our youth have returned from Houston. The Romanian Missions Team left on Friday and is returning to Lafayette on Monday, July 15. The Brazilian Missions Team will leave on Thursday, July 11. Pray for each group to return to First Baptist more ready than ever to Know Him and Make Him Known. Tonight, our Summer Special Series continues with Eric Simmons giving testimony of God’s activity in his life over the past year as he underwent heart transplant surgery. We started this year asking God for miracles. Tonight, we will be blessed to hear an eyewitness report of one of those miracles. As we move through the summer, please make plans to join us for our One Day celebration slated this year for September 1. We will have a combined worship service at 10 a.m. on that particular morning.
