JULY PRAYER LIST 1 - "Truly the Worship of God" Rev. Dr. Dale A. Meyer / When you get out of your religious comfort zone and meet people who don't know Jesus, you have opportunity to grow in faith and witness . (Acts 10:34-48) 8 - "Sufficiency" Rev. Dr. Ken Klaus / From 1954 to 1960, CBS carried the TV program Father Knows Best. That program was fictional. In The Lutheran Hour message today, we realize Paul wasn't writing fiction when he said: Our Heavenly Father really does know what is best for His children. (2 Corinthians 12:9) 15 - "My Feelings, Meet God's Word!" Rev. Dr. Dale A. Meyer / Emotions often drive our lives. When we think about our feelings in light of the Word of God, we are led to Jesus our Savior, but ignoring God's Word makes life a soap opera mess. (Mark 6:14-29) 22 - "You Feed Them" Rev. Dr. Ken Klaus / Every job looks like it's easy if you don't have to do it. That was certainly the case when Jesus told His disciples to feed the crowd. With no McDonald's in the area, they came back and asked Jesus to do what they couldn't. We would be wise if we did the same. (Mark 6:37) 29 - "It's Not a Cruise Ship" Rev. Timothy Teuscher / The church is not some cruise ship sailing aimlessly about in this life and merely entertaining those on board; but, rather, it is the ark, the only boat whereby, as we traverse this stormy sea of life, we are being brought safely to the other side, to eternity. (Mark 6:45-56)

1 - “The Big Picture” Rev. Dr. Thomas Ahlersmeyer / King David certainly experienced his share of difficulties, candidly exposed on the pages of the Old Testament for future generations to see – “Weeping may tarry for the night, but joy comes with the morning” (Psalm 30:5) 8 - “The Carpenter & Credentials” Rev. James Elsner / One credential of Jesus was “carpenter from Nazareth.” But He’s also Master and Friend helping us handle all God wants to give us. (Mark 6:1-13) 15 - “How Do You Measure Up?” Rev. William Mueller / When the Lord holds the plumb line of His Word to measure us, we realize we fall miserably short. But with Jesus, we get a unique perspective. (Amos
