WHY A CALL TO PRAYER? Our prayers worship God, glorify His name, and demonstrate our faith and trust in Him. This a unique time in the life of our church and God is providing us the opportunity to seek His face together.

WHAT IS THIS PRAYER GUIDE? This guide will contain biweekly prayer requests from representatives of the Search Committee and the Search Coalition. The guide will be updated more frequently if needed. It should be used to complement your regular prayers concerning the pastor search process.

WHO IS IT FOR? This guide is for all people of Tri-Village Church, Iglesia del Pueblo, Wheaton Bible Church, and anyone else who desires to pray for God’s leading during our new Senior Pastor search.

The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold Psalm 18:2

PLEASE PRAY •

For Pastor Rob Bugh and Rhonda. For continued physical healing for Rob’s back, for physical and spiritual strength, for clarity as He guides our congregation. Pray for Rhonda as she ministers to the body and soul of all in her care and that she would stay healthy. And again, we seek God’s grace for a new God honoring physician’s practice for her in the future.

For a spirit of complete unity within the congregation, the search committee, and search coalition as they meet and gain input concerning our new Senior Pastor in June and July. That we would live up to our Lord’s prayer to “be one” (John 17:11, 21-23).

For the Lord’s guidance to find our next leader, a man whose heart is fully devoted to the Lord, that we would be guided as Samuel was guided by God to choose Israel’s next leader and remember that “the Lord looks at the heart” (1 Samuel 16:7).

For God to reveal the person who deeply loves Him, who will deeply love us, and whom we will deeply love in return.

•

For our new Senior Pastor. Protection over him and his family. That God is continuing to prepare his heart and calling to our church.

That we will rejoice and not be anxious throughout the entire search process. That we will know “the peace of God, which transcends all understanding” and that God will guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
