SUMMER ADULT CE CLASS How has God Equipped You, and for What Purpose? Ephesians 2:10 says, "For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them." God always enables us to do what He calls us to do. If you have received Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, you can be assured that the Holy Spirit equipped you with one or more spiritual gifts the moment you believed. But how do you know what your gift is and how to use it? Join Bob and Carmen Pate for a six week study on Spiritual Gifts. You will have opportunity to complete a spiritual gift inventory and learn how to apply your gift to God's calling on your life. Classes begin Sunday, June 9, during the 9:00 hour, in room 201A (Youth room). To register, sign up at the table in the foyer on Sunday, June 2nd or e-mail Carmen at [email protected]

If there is an announcement you would like included in Hillside Happenings or the bulletin, please contact the church office by noon Wednesday. Thank you! (830)228-4673 or [email protected]

Questions for Sunday: Jesus and Prayer #2 Luke 18:9-14 1. What is your understanding of justification by grace through faith in Christ? 2. Why is justification by grace through faith so difficult to grasp for humans? 3. Is God fair to justify a horrible sinner and condemn a “good” person who tries the best he can? 4. Where do you seek to justify yourself before man? God?
