“First Things First ” Nehemiah 10 Speaking Today: Pastor Norm Schwab

Have you recently felt that your priorities, your focus, could use some sharpening? Have you begun to notice your spiritual life is drier than usual? Maybe your good intentions have been pushed aside by the weekly demands and are squeezing out the most important. Rarely is our priority problem a matter of straining out the bad from the good. The challenge lies in discerning the best out of the good. What will motivate us to put the first things first? Put first things first in my . . . 1. Love life. (verses 28-30)

(Details in insert, Northview News & online)

FAMILY BIKE RIDE

Join us on June 23 for a Family Bike Ride from Heyburn State Park to Harrison round trip. Sign up in the foyer to be a part of this event. This event is sponsored by the Men’s Ministry.

2. Work life. (Verse 31)

VBS

June 25-29 - 8:45 am to 12:05 pm Victory in Jesus is this year’s VBS theme. VBS is for ages K-6th grade. It is a week of songs, skits, crafts, games, Bible learning & snacks.

3. Church life. (verses 32-39)

COLLEGE MISSIONS TRIP

Pray for the college students and leaders during the week of June 23-28 as they travel to Ontario, Oregon for a week of VBS and connecting with the people in the community.

McCALL MISSIONS TRIP

The High School students will be going to McCall Idaho & surrounding communities July 21-28 where they will be presenting VBS to the children in the area as well as interacting with the communities. CHURCH CALENDAR: Visit our church events calendar online for event details: http://nbcspokane.org/resources/events/calendar/

Next Step: Priorities that aren’t written down have a tendency to float right out of our mind. Do you have something new you are facing this fall? New school . . . job . . . marriage . . . retirement . . . baby? Spend some time this week and write out your goals, priorities. What will you choose to be involved in? Financial goals . . . family priorities . . . church life goals? Be intentional don’t let good intentions rob you. Write it down.
