If you could have any job in the world, what would you choose? Why? What would be a “win” for you over the next 9 weeks of Growth Groups? When people say they have “a calling”, what would you think they are saying? What was impacting from the teaching Sunday? How has this study on “calling” been of help to you in discovering and pursuing your calling?

If you were to label your calling at this point in time, what would your best guess be of what that calling might be? (Think more than jobs or vocations. What is the center of who God made you to be and what plays no matter what tasks you have to do? You may not have a clear sense, but give it your best guess.)

Read Acts 13:1-3 and make some observations: 1. 2. 3. What can you learn about “calling” (a calling from the Lord) in these verses?

What role might fasting and prayer play? How important is it that spiritual leaders are in this place?

How important is it that others see this calling in us? Why would that matter?

How could your group encourage your calling? How could your group set you apart for the call upon your life? What have you learned about “calling” – the special reason God has placed people (including you) in the world?
