Sermon Response: If you were able to attend or listen to Sunday’s message, what stood out and was most insightful or impactful to you? Read Together: 1 Kings 3:1-28 Discussion: Based on verses 1-4  What was it about Solomon that was different than the people of that day? Based on verse 5-15  Why would God offer such an opportunity to Solomon?  What do you find so insightful and selfless about his response?  How would you have responded with such a “once in a lifetime opportunity?”  What was it about Solomon’s response that pleased God so much that he offered such generosity to him?  How is wisdom more valuable than any other riches from this earth? How did it draw out the truth of the situation?  What does his example show us in how we are to seek wisdom in our decisionmaking process?  When have you had to make a “split-second decision” that was such an excruciating choice? What was the outcome?  Currently, are you faced with a big decision? How could you use prayer for this situation? Prayer: Take time to share how God has answered prayer and other prayer requests that you have today.
