NEW PRODUCTS Reverse Osmosis T e s t U n i t

This unit, completely assembled on a mobile cart, is useful as a control for membrane production, as a research tool for investigation of properties of semipermeable membranes, and for de termining suitability of reverse osmosis for purification or concentration of various solutions. The high pressure pump will force solutions through the membrane at desired pressure up to 1500 psig. A recirculation loop and feed solution container can be ar ranged for once through operation, or various degrees of solution recircula tion. Universal Water Corp., 1638 Coast Blvd., P. 0. maybe your monkey is sick! Check his temperature with a YSI Tele-Thermometer and thermistor probe. In just a few seconds you'll know if he has a fever. Or perhaps you're inter ested in heart chamber, intra muscular, and major vessel measurements. Maybe you are conducting thermal dilution studies, or want to implant a temperature sensing device in biological tissue. When you need to measure temperature — lab animals to frozen food packages, beneath the soil, under the sea, or in the air — there is a YSI probe and Tele-Thermometer to do the job. Or if you want to con trol t e m p e r a t u r e , we have equipment for that, too. Take care of your monkey, and write for our catalog of thermistor based temperature m e a s u r e m e n t and control equipment. YELLOW SPRINGS INSTRUMENT CO.

POSITION

Titrator

This instrument, operable in a variety of modes, speeds up test results by a factor of 10. A combination mode blends manual and automatic techniques, making it possible to ob tain highly accurate titration curves quite rapidly. Derivative, manual, pH control, and automatic modes may also be used. The titrator will accept any form of electrode and will ac commodate high or low resistance sys tems, aqueous or nonaqueous media, and samples ranging in size from 50 μ\ up. The instrument's modular design provides the user with a wide choice of configurations suited for pH, redox, and other potentiometric titrations, from the routine to the most complex. LR-100 Lamellar Grating Interferom eter operates over the 3 - 7 0 c r r r 1 spectral region with maximum effi ciency in the 3—20 c m - 1 range. The instrument uses 8-cm diameter optics and has been made as small as the conflicting conditions of wide fre quency range and high throughput will allow. A high-throughput all-re flecting optical system is used for maximum luminosity. Interferograms are recorded in the aperiodic scanning mode by a stepping drive which al lows a total linear displacement of 5 cm.
