A new design. Lachat TMA systems are exceptionally easy to use. One reason is the unique cell design* No dropping mercury electrode, no capillary delivery tube, no toxic mercury reservoir as in other systems. Instead, a glassy carbon electrode is automatically coated with a thin film of mercury, and deoxygenation occurs chemically, eliminating the time-consuming nitrogen purge.
