LESSON PLAN– PRESCHOOL & PRE-K

We will have a Lockdown drill at approx. 9:45 and then approx. 11:50 this Sunday. I will have the volunteer handbook with instructions and there is a flip chart on the wall next to the phone. January 13, 2019 NORMAL SCHEDULE TODAY: Class Activities for today: - 9:15 Children arrive, Opening Activities 11:00 AM Service - 9:25 Sing Songs 11:10 - 9:35 Circle Time/Bible Story 11:20 - 9:50 Craft 11:35 - 10:10 Playground (If time), 11:55 (if time) TODAY’S GOALS 1. Listen to the story of Job. I will read the story and we will be doing a game to go along with the story with marshmallows. Miss Sara will read the story in ea. separate class. 2. Learn that even though we may follow all of God’s rules sometimes bad things do happen, but we still need to love and worship God. 3. Talk about our pray chart. Who prayed ea. day? When? Where? How? Emphasize that God hears us all the time but may not answer right away. We have to be patient and be thankful for the good things in our lives. WELCOME CHILDREN  One teacher (or two) will greet each child by name (look at their nametags). Introduce yourselves to the parents.  Confirm each child is in your class (check nametags).  If the child is not in your class grade, direct them to the correct grade classroom  Invite the children to participate in opening activities. **If there is an error on a child’s nametag, please indicate the error on your CLASS ROSTER.** OPENING ACTIVITIES Invite the children to enjoy the opening activities and play with toys as they arrive. You can pray for anyone, for anything, out loud, quietly, with your family, before mealtimes, to say thank-you. Most importantly, God hears you every single time. You might not hear his voice speaking to you but he will answer your prayers. CRAFT TIME: We do not have a specific craft today! I may have a mini book to color or something to go along with the story. I will have a How To Pray Sheet to hand out to parents. PLAYGROUND TIME : Weather permitting. Make sure kids are inside during checkout. CLASSROOM PLAYTIME PICK UP TIME &CHECK-OUT Adult Teachers: Check parent pick up stickers carefully. Thank the children for coming. Be sure the children take home their craft project, coloring pages, and other belongings. 11:00 TEACHERS: PLEASE RETURN SUPPLIES IN CLASS BASKET AND TIDY CLASSROOM. PLEASE MAKE SURE BINS ARE ORGANIZED ACCORDING TO TYPE OF TOY. CARS, LEGOS, ETC.
