Learn our memory verse NEW! “ Rise up and pray.” Luke 22:46, “Be strong, be courageous, do not be afraid, for the Lord, your God is with you”. Deuteronomy 31:6. What is a prophet? Special messenger that gives messages to the people from God. Review prophets: Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Daniel. Jonah was a prophet who disobeyed God. The other prophets always obeyed God. There are consequences for not obeying. WELCOME CHILDREN One teacher (or two) will greet each child by name (look at their nametags). Introduce yourselves to the parents. Confirm each child is in your class (check nametags). If the child is not in your class grade, direct them to the correct grade classroom Invite the children to participate in opening activities. **If there is an error on a child’s nametag, please indicate the error on your CLASS ROSTER.** OPENING ACTIVITIES: Coloring pages MUSIC IN ROOM 109 CIRCLE TIME: (AFTER MUSIC) -Items to have for Circle Time: Bible, Class Stuffed Animal. With hand motions ( I will demonstrate!) -Items to have for Circle Time: Bible, Class Stuffed Animal. -Have the children sit together in a circle. - Read story that is in basket . CRAFT TIME: Jonah Whale party favor craft.
Supplies: First, WRITE NAME ON WHALE. Place bible scripture sticker on whale. (not pictured). 1. Cut out whales,2. googly eyes, 3. pipe cleaners for water spout, 4. white beads, 5. tissue for tail,6. party favors for whale tongue spitting out Jonah. Directions: 1. Glue googly eyes on whale cutout while it is flat. 2. Place tisuue on whale’s tail while cutout is flat. 3. Fold whale cutout in half. 4. Tape 3 pipe cleaners on inside for the spout. Add beads if desired. 5. Slip party favor in crease. 6. Blow the party favor. Who is at the end of the whale’s tongue? JONAH.
Outside playtime weather permitting . Make sure children are in classroom before pickup. - PICK UP TIME &CHECK-OUT Adult Teachers: Check parent pick up stickers carefully. Thank the children for coming. Be sure the children take home their craft project, coloring pages, and other belongings. 11:00 TEACHERS: PLEASE RETURN SUPPLIES IN CLASS BASKET AND TIDY CLASSROOM. PLEASE MAKE SURE BINS ARE ORGANIZED ACCORDING TO TYPE OF TOY. CARS, LEGOS, ETC.
