Understanding and Leading in the “New Normal” Process Seminar Registration patterns have definitely changed. Donors are giving differently. Christian culture is morphing into different paradigms. How do we effectively lead camping organizations in this new climate? What factors do we need to understand? What implications does this have for missional accomplishment? Come prepared to grapple with trends, ask questions and gain understanding about the climate in which we minister. Facilitator: Bedford Holmes—Zephyr Point

The Art of Building Off-Line Relationships Process Seminar We will share first hand examples of the importance of combining the online and offline worlds in successful camp ministry. You’ll discover how much more effective you can be as a camp by actually participating in the communities you’re trying to be part of, rather than just direct mailing, Tweeting, and Facebooking your campers/conferees. Facilitator: Dave Bullard—Mission Springs Rules, Regulations, and Red Tape Process Seminar Explore the importance of retreat rules and how they are crafted to protect your guests and create effective ministry. Bring your camp’s rules/regulations and leave with an enhanced way of running a great guest group! Facilitator: Paul Crockett—The Oaks Overcoming the Dark Side of Leadership Process Seminar There are significant leadership failures happening all around us and we may even see them in our own lives. In this seminar we will address the dark side of leadership, which is in essence the “blind spots” and pitfalls in our own lives and in our leadership. The very things that push leaders towards success can in reality be the very same things that cause a leader’s downfall. Beginning to identify our dark sides enables us to begin to welcome the redemptive work of Christ. Facilitator: Don Goehner—Goehner Group Consulting Got Problems Trusting? Process Seminar Trust drives everything in our camping ministries. Relationships that stand the test of time are built on a foundation of trust. In this seminar, we will explore specific behaviors that build trust while also examining counterfeit behaviors that erode it. With high trust, ministry success comes faster with much lower personal cost. Facilitator: Stan White—Forest Home Personal Freedom and Responsibility in the Summer Camp Context Process Seminar Navigating through sticky issues, Christian freedoms, and appropriate communal guidelines at camp can be tricky. How do we broach these topics tactfully and truthfully? What standards are appropriate to put on our campers versus our staff? These are just a few of the common questions to arise that don’t have easy answers. Facilitator: Dave Notari—Mission Springs
