3. Have someone read John 3:16. What does this say about how God values you? How is your value in God’s eyes related to the values you choose to have in this life? 4. Read Deuteronomy 6:4-5 and 5:6-10. How do these verses speak to the values we are to have as God’s people? 5. Time for some honest self assessment. What kinds of modern-day idols do you value above God? Why do you think it’s so easy to fall into idolatry of that kind?
