Ice Breaker- Who is the most impressive person you’ve met? What most impresses you about them? Read and discuss Galatians 1:1-5 and Romans 1:1-11 Both of these passages are introductions to letters the Apostle Paul wrote to churches. What is different about these two introductions? What does that difference tell you about the tone of Paul’s letter to the church of Galatia? Read and discuss Galatians 1:6-9 When you hear the word Gospel what do you think of? How have you experienced the GOSPEL of Jesus? Paul references a “different gospel” that was leading these folk astray, what are some “different gospels” present in our culture? How do you keep Christ at the center of the GOSPEL you follow? Read and discuss Galatians 1:10-24 and Proverbs 29:25 and 1 Thessalonians 2:4 Why is Paul so adamant about not “pleasing man”? Do you struggle with being a people pleaser? What are some things you can do to keep that in check? Why is people pleasing so dangerous? Why is it important that the Gospel we preach is not of HUMAN ORIGIN? Close your time in prayer, asking the Lord to once again put a fire in your group’s heart for the TRUE Gospel. Ask the Lord to forgive you for areas where false gospel has snuck into your life and Jesus to bless each group member!
