BE BAPTIZED, Matthew 28:19 February 17, 2019 CONNECT 1. Share a favorite photo or story of celebration that you’ve experienced.

CELEBRATE 2. Have you been baptized? If yes, when? Describe why you did so. If not, what has hindered you from this step of obedience? 3. Read Romans 6:1–11. How is baptism a declaration of our union with Christ? 4. We want to celebrate God’s grace that enables His disciples to obey Him. Reflect on how you have celebrated at past corporate baptisms when you knew the people and when you didn’t. How might you celebrate more joyfully or expressively if you lived like you believe each person coming up out of the water is part of your family?

CONTRIBUTE 5. Are you living with the same bold public claim about who you are in Christ in your spheres of influence as you did in the past? 6. Will you commit to praying for unsaved friends and family members who attend NHC baptism celebrations—that they would be drawn toward conversations about Jesus after seeing what baptism represents? 7. Take action if you want to learn more about baptism.
