Planned Parenthood Annual Report: 113 Abortions for Every Adoption Referral – In May, Planned Parenthood released its belated annual report for July 2015 through June 2016. It revealed PP performed more abortions and received more government funding (a record high of $554.6 million), while, at the same time, it claimed it saw fewer patients than previous years. From 2015 to 2016, Planned Parenthood performed a total of 328,348 abortions (an increase of 4,349 abortions from the previous year of 323,999 abortions). The report showed Planned Parenthood offered a mere 9,419 “prenatal services” and 2,889 “adoption referrals.” That means for every prenatal service given, Planned Parenthood committed nearly 35 abortions (or 113 abortions to one adoption referral).Despite the number of abortions performed by Planned Parenthood and the rise in government funding during the 2015 and 2016 reporting years, the abortion giant faced at least one decrease: the number of patients. The organization saw 2.5 million patrons in 2014-2015 compared with 2.4 million in 2015-2016. (NRL News Today, 5/31/17; CLR LifeWire, 6/1/2017)

“We cannot read the history of our rise and development as a nation without reckoning with the place the Bible has occupied in shaping the advances of the Republic … Where we have been the truest and most consistent in obeying its precepts, we have attained the greatest measure of contentment and prosperity.” Franklin Delano Roosevelt, October 6, 1935

“Christian fatherhood goes beyond merely ensuring that children are well cared for and provided for. A Christian father will also be actively engaged in the rearing of his children. The apostle Paul gives divine counsel both on how to—and how not to—go about this parental function, when he exhorts, ‘Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord’ (Ephesians 6:4, NIV).” Rev. Mark Gullerud, pastor at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Bowdle, South Dakota www.lutheransforlife.org/media/life-quotes
