The Lion’s April 2018 Newsletter Dear Parents, Spring is here and Lions have a new spring in our step. We are looking forward to all the wonders that come with spring. This month our unit topic is God’s Earth. We will explore this theme with the children through songs, pictures, stories, and the wonders of nature. Our color is brown and the shape is the cross. The Memory Verse is “Go and make disciples of all nations.” Mathew 28:19. The Community Workers we are learning about are plant helpers. With the weather getting warmer every day, we will continue to do many activities outside, so remember to apply sun screen and mosquito repellant. If you would like us to reapply, please make sure that you have given permission through the office and have labeled the lotions/sprays. We will re-apply as needed though out the day. Please take a moment to check your child’s supply of extra clothes as well to make sure they are size and weather appropriate April 11 is our Parent Chapel and lunch. Our new time for chapel is 11:00am. We invite you to join us in worship and after, have lunch with your child in our classroom. Just as a reminder, Day One will be closed on Monday, April 2 for professional development for all teachers. We are excited about our SCRIP fundraiser, starting on the 16th. This is a simple way to help our school raise money and make shopping easier for you! All you have to do is look at the list and choose gift cards to places you may already shop, or make gift giving easy for birthdays, or special occasions.
