When and How Shall We Meet? Dear Church Family, We are all watching with great anticipation as the state of Texas begins to gradually “re-open” for business and larger gatherings. The ministerial staff and I had a lengthy meeting on Tuesday to develop a plan to re-open the FBC campus for Sunday morning worship.

TWW Updated Reporting

Pike Wisner

As of now, our plan is as follows: • Sunday, May 17 We will host graduating seniors and their families ONLY for worship that day. (No Sunday School for any age group OR childcare on campus.) • Sunday, May 24, we will have two (2) worship services beginning at 9:15 and 10:45. These services will be open for all members and guests. (No Sunday School for any age group on OR Childcare on campus.) • We will continue offering two Sunday morning worship services at 9:15 and 10:45 until further notice. • There will be no Sunday School classes or childcare gathering on campus until further notice. Classes are encouraged to continue to meet virtually. • We will continue to livestream our services for the foreseeable future. Not only is this crucial during a time when many are not yet ready to be on campus, but this has expanded the reach of our church and the spread of the gospel! Now that you’ve seen the “when,” let’s consider the “how.” While we are eager to be together, our state and local officials have released “minimum standard health protocols” that we intend to honor. We are making every effort to prepare the safest environment for you as you enter

the church building. And, we need your help! What We’re Doing • The gathering areas of the church are being thoroughly cleaned in preparation for the 17th and following. • Our custodial and ministerial staff will clean doorknobs, handrails, counters, and restrooms during and between worship services. • Hand sanitizing areas will be clearly marked • No food or drink will be served on campus until further notice. • Giving receptacles will be in place. There will be no passing of offering plates at this time. • Adding the second service will also help us maintain proper distancing. What We Need From You: • We encourage all those in attendance to wear a face mask when on campus, but it is not required. This is especially significant because we will be singing together. If you do not have a mask, one can be provided for you as you enter the building. • We ask that you practice social distancing to the best of your ability, and that you help your children to do so. This includes no hugging, handshaking, etc. To help with that, every other row within the Sanctuary will be roped off. Two (2) seats should be left vacant between family groups. • We will assist the process of exiting the Sanctuary at the conclusion of our worship services, so we do not “bunch up.” Continued on pg. 2.

• We ask that your “hang out” time be conducted outdoors. • We strongly urge anyone who is sick to stay at home! We also recommend that those with serious health issues that put them in a high risk category stay at home and continue to enjoy our livestreamed service. **The timing and guidelines of our gatherings are subject to change as we continue to track with our state and local authorities. We know there are many of you who are NOT ready to join us in person on our campus for various reasons. Staying home at this stage doesn’t indicate fear or a lack of faith. Our live-stream Sunday morning service will continue at 10:45 AM as planned for the foreseeable future, and we are thankful to God to stay connected as a body in this manner! Because of the many differences of opinion and personal circumstances, let’s align ourselves with Paul’s admonition to the Ephesians; Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. 30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption… 32 Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. Ephesians 4:29-30, 32 Our staff is very excited to begin welcoming you to our campus. We have been no less the church over the last two months but being together will be extra sweet! Thanks be to God for his protection, provision and tender care of His sheep during this trial! Grateful to Be Your Pastor,

Pike
