But things will become much WORSE before they become much better! “For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be.” ~Jesus, Matthew 24:21

The Great Tribulation:

But evil men and imposters will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived.

“Therefore when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place,” ~Jesus, Matthew 24:15



The MEANING of the “Abomination of Desolation” What is the “Abomination of Desolation”? It is a person who stands in the Temple to DEFILE it and DEFY God by setting himself up as God.

The present age will come to a climax in an outbreak of EVIL led by the Antichrist. 2Timothy 3:13

God allows the Antichrist in order to show the true nature of the human heart apart from His GRACE. Little children, it is the last hour; and as you have heard that the Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come, by which we know that it is the last hour. 1John 2:18

Who is the “Abomination of Desolation”? 1)



After Daniel first made this prediction, there was a partial fulfillment in 167 BC when Antiochus IV Epiphanes erected an altar to the pagan Greek god Zeus over the altar of burnt offering and sacrificed a pig on it.

After Jesus repeated this prediction, there was another partial fulfillment in 70 AD when the armies of the Roman Emperor Titus defiled the Temple and ultimately destroyed it.

The ultimate fulfillment will be in the future at the midpoint of the Seven Year Tribulation when the Antichrist will declare that he is "God in the Temple.” 2Thessalonians 2:3-4 Revelation 13

The RESPONSE to the “Abomination of Desolation” Matthew 24:16-20

How should we live in light of the coming Antichrist? Be ALERT, be BOLD, and live without FEAR until Jesus returns!

Whose side are you on? Will you stand with Jesus Christ? OR Will you side with the Antichrist?
