Living in the Last Days Lesson One • Matthew 24:1-3

The DESTRUCTION of Satan demands it.



Do You Know What Time It Is?

The HOPE of believers demands it. Titus 2:13 1John 3:3

Are we living in the last days? Is Jesus Christ really coming soon? Are there signs that confirm His soon return?

2. How Should We RESPOND to Jesus Coming Again? Since Jesus Is Coming Again:



“And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand.” Romans 13:11-12a

Two Questions Concerning the Second Coming of Jesus Christ:

1. Why Should We BELIEVE Jesus Is Coming Again?



The PROMISES of God demand it. Psalm 2 Isaiah 9:6-7 Jeremiah 23:5 Zechariah 14:4-9



The TEACHING of Christ demands it. John 14:2-3 Mark 14:62 Matthew 24:27 Revelation 22:20



It’s time to CLEAN UP from the deeds of darkness. “The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness and let us put on the armor of light. Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in licentiousness and lewdness, not in strife and envy.” Romans 13:12-13

Why Jesus Is Coming Again:



It’s time to WAKE UP from spiritual apathy.



It’s time to DRESS UP in the armor of light. “Let us put on the armor of light…But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.” Romans 13:14

The WRITERS of the New Testament demand it. Philippians 3:20 Colossians 3:4 1Thessalonians 4:16 Hebrews 9:28 James 5:7-8 1Peter 5:4 1John 3:2

It’s later than you think—Jesus is COMING soon! It’s time to get SERIOUS about living for Jesus Christ!
